Nuri, Üniversiteye giden oğlu Fahri ile yalnız yaşamaktadır. Amaç; Fahrinin ev işleri ile meşgul olup derslerinin aksamamasıdır, aslında Fahrinin annesi her sene gelmekte iken, bu senede Babası gelmiştir Fahrinin yaşadığı eve. Yan dairede yalnız yaşayan Türkan, bu pazar  sabahı, çamaşırını, balkonları bitişik olduğu için, yanlışlıkla Nuri'nin sepetine düşürür. Sepetten çıkan bu çamaşırın oğluna ait olduğu şüphesi ve telaşı ile Nuri'nin dünyası değişir, hemen bir Psikologdan yardım ister, eve gelen psikolog, para dertlisi birisidir, bu sırada oğlu üniversitenin tiyatro kulübündedir, yönetmen, Fahri'nin rolünü gay yapmış ve role hazırlanması için, rolünü "her yerde çalışmasını "istemiştir… Fahri, arkadaşı Kadir'den sevdiği kız Yasemin'in kendisinden hoşlanması için fikir ister, Kadirinde saçma sapan fikirleri, bu durumu destekler.  Doktorun, akla ziyan  çözüm önerisi, her şeyi iyice içinden çıkılmaz bir hale sokar. Doktorun, Nuri'ye "oğlunun eşcinsel olduğu" tezi ile Nuri bitmiştir. İkinci perdede ise…Herkesin birbirini yanlış anlaması, zincirleme devam eder. Fahri Yasemin'i bulamamış ve eve gelip prova yapmaya karar vermiştir, bu sırada doktor Nuri beyi sakinleştirir, bir koltuğa yatırır, kendisi de kolonya bakmaya gider. Fahri eve girer, baba koltukta uzanmaktadır, Fahri, babasını farketmeden provasını alır, baba, Fahri'nin prova yaptığını tahmin etmediği için gördüğü sahne dolayısıyla, Fahrinin gay olduğuna emin olmuştur ve oğluyla bu durumu konuşmak ister, Fahri ise, “hangi kız hayatımda olmalı”, diye babasından, fikir desteği almak ister, baba ise konuya, Tülay mı Kadir mi olarak devam eder.
Nuri lives alone with his son Fahri, who is attending university. The goal is for Fahri to be busy with household chores so he doesn't neglect his studies. Actually, while Fahri's mother used to visit every year, this year his father has come to live with him. Türkan, who lives alone in the apartment next door, accidentally drops her laundry into Nuri's basket that Sunday morning because their balconies are adjacent. The suspicion and panic that the laundry belongs to his son changes Nuri's world. He immediately seeks help from a psychologist. The psychologist who comes to the house is someone who is financially preoccupied. Meanwhile, his son is in the university's theater club, and the director has cast Fahri in a gay role and wants him to "practice the role everywhere" to prepare. Fahri asks his friend Kadir for advice on how to make Yasemin, the girl he likes, like him back. Kadir's absurd ideas support this. The doctor's nonsensical solution makes everything even more complicated. The doctor's thesis that "his son is homosexual" is the end of Nuri. In the second act…the chain of misunderstandings continues. Fahri, unable to find Yasemin, decides to come home to rehearse. Meanwhile, the doctor calms Mr. Nuri, lays him down on a sofa, and goes to look for cologne. Fahri enters the house; his father is lying on the sofa. Fahri, without noticing his father, begins his rehearsal. Because the father didn't expect Fahri to be rehearsing, he is convinced that Fahri is gay due to the scene he witnessed and wants to discuss this with his son. Fahri, on the other hand, wants to get advice from his father on "which girl should be in my life," and the father continues the conversation by asking whether it should be Tülay or Kadir. The comedy of misunderstandings continues: the doctor mistaking Kadir for the father's son, Tülay and Yasemin arriving home, Türkan arriving home in a man's costume…
